Do I need to purchase a copy of the ZipCode Professional database for with ajmZip Manager Tools.
A. No. Your ajmZip Manager license includes a single licensed copy of the ajmSoft ZipCode Professional database. Contact Technical Support if you need a separate copy of the database. Please note that your licensed database may not be current and you may be required to purchase an updated version.Q. I receive a configuration error when I try to view the Web Service WDSL. How can I fix this?
All compiled .NET applications need to reside in an IIS Virtual Directory that is configured as an application. Configure the Virtual Directory that contains the Web Service as an application. The readme file delivered with ajmZip Manager Tools for .NET contains instructions showing how to do this. If you are using a Web Hosting provider, please contact their technical support.Q. I have a web site with a Web Hosting Provider. Can I use ajmZip Manager Tools on this site?
You cannot use ajmZip Manager ActiveX Tools on a public web site because of licensing restrictions and most providers will not allow you to register an ActiveX DLL on their servers. You may use ajmZip Manager Tools for .NET on a public server as long as you take precautions to insure that no public access is allowed to the API. Note that some providers will not configure your IIS Virtual Directory as an application, effectively preventing a compiled .NET program from functioning. ajmZip Manager Tools for ASP will always work on your Windows hosted site that supports ASP and Access databases. ajmZip Manager Tools for PHP will work on any hosted site that supports PHP 4.3 or higher and MySQL.
