Support Database Products
ajm Software provides a number of support databases as a service to our customers. Unless otherwise indicated, all products are available for download by licensed customers at no charge. If you require data on a CD, please use our order form and indicate $8.00 Shipping and Handling for U.S. and Canadian delivery on CD or $24.00 for international delivery on CD.
Each database is available from the download page in comma delimited format only. This format can generally be imported into most database and spreadsheet products. You must be a licensed user of an ajm Software database product to download any support files.

The FIPS database contains a cross-reference of States and Counties and places to their respective FIPS Code. The FIPS code is the Federal Information Processing Standard code developed by the Federal government to assign standard numbers to various geographic and political entities. There are separate files for State, County, County Subdivision and the complete FIPS55 database.
The SIC Database contains a list of SIC codes and their description. The SIC code is a Standard Industry Classification coding system designed to classify any company by the type of product or service they deliver. SIC codes were developed in the 1930's and are in widespread use to provide comparative data on industries within the US economy.
The NAICS ("nakes") database contains a list of NAICS codes and their corresponding descriptions. NAICS is the North American Industry Classification System designed to replace SIC codes. It has been in use since 1997 and is a major revision of the SIC system. It contains new industries and reorganizes existing industries on a production/process oriented basis.
